Rare gemstones, cut by our own hands

ManhArt Gemstones is not a trading address, it is a cutting workshop. We seek out rough stones that few people ever get to see, and only decide at the stone itself which cut carries its colour and fire best. Every finished gemstone is a unique piece: cut, measured and photographed in our own workshop.

Our focus is on rarities: hauyne from the Eifel, one of the rarest blue gemstones in the world, red beryl from Utah, grandidierite from Madagascar, rhodochrosite, väyrynenite, pezzottaite and emeralds from rare localities. Where these stones come from, what makes them so rare and what matters for their quality is something we explore in our guide. It is well worth a visit.

Every one of our stones is something special. And yet there is that rare moment when a stone rises above itself: under the lap the rough opens up, colour, fire and form come together, and before us lies something that will never exist a second time. Stones like these carry their own name and their own story. They find their place among ManhArt Signatures, and we offer them on personal request only.

Alongside them we cut the great classics such as sapphire, tourmaline, spinel, spessartine or alexandrite, just as untreated and with the same care. We also cut your own rough, repair and recut stones – see our services.
