For centuries spinel was taken for ruby — some of the most famous „rubies“ in European crown jewels are in truth spinels. It is practically never treated, reaches a Mohs hardness of 8, and in strong pink to red shows a luminosity that need not shy away from the comparison. Every stone comes from our own workshop.
